The Records Management Technician (RMT) provides support services with documentation, coordination, facilitation, implementation and reporting of records management projects and initiatives for review and approval using NARA’s Archives and Records Centers Information System (ARCIS). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: | The duties and responsibilities consist of:• Providing archival support to include permanent records, historical documentation and long term-term records-keeping initiatives. • Creating and maintaining records transfers, retiring of records, references requests, file plans, schedules, technical requirements, and performance measures. • Processing records transfers, retrievals, and disposal requests. • Preparing responses to allegations or records management non-compliance and inquiries. • Performing daily operational support activities for records management non-compliance and inquiries. • Performing daily operational support activities for records management to include: o Developing records management materials, spreadsheets, or presentations to support program offices o Maintaining records management SharePoint sites(s) content. • Monitoring and coordinating records management compliance in keeping with all legal provisions as they may apply. • Preparing briefings (PowerPoint format) in record management, audits, assessments, and other related subjects. • Preparing materials (e.g, tables, graphs, presentations, etc.) from analysis of data for inclusion in final work products which may be presented orally, in writing, or in the form of narrative, statistically to be provided to the records officer. • Developing, reviewing, maintaining and updating records management compliance checklist • Providing administrative support to the records management division, to include maintaining a file system for filing reports as well as tracking all related correspondence. • Providing reports on various issues related to records management as directed. • Coordinating ad-hoc records management assessments as directed. |
Requirements: | • Experience with ARCIS and Iron Mountain Connect systems • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel • Attention to detail • Ability to understand and analyze workflows |
